Frequently Asked Questions

General

Do you offer prints?

At this time I do not offer prints of my work - only small greeting cards. This is an area I hope to expand in the future, but I do not have the ability to focus on prints at this time and want to ensure I can provide quality reproductions of my work.

Will the artwork look the same in person as online?

The exact colours you are seeing online depend on the screen you are viewing photos from. While I try to ensure the pictures are as accurate as I can, lighting in your home may alter the appearance. It helps to view the art on multiple screens before purchasing if colour variation is a concern.

Shipping

What is the cost of shipping?

For small scale artwork to Canada and the US I charge a flat rate of $25. The flat rate for larger works is $35 to Canada and $55 to the US. Shipping cost is indicated on each art listing, and local pickup is available (& preferred where possible!).

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I am willing to ship internationally. I ask you to contact me directly with your location for a shipping estimate. Import fees may apply.

Are packages tracked?

Yes! A tracking # will be sent to you for all packages except cards - which are sent by letter mail.

What if my parcel arrives damaged?

In the unlikely event that the painting or print arrives damaged, please contact me with photos of the damage and we can arrange a discount or reimbursement.

Can I return the painting?

I only accept art returns under extenuating circumstances. If you are not happy with your purchase please contact me directly to further discuss. Return shipping will be at the cost of the collector.

Commissions

Do you do commissions?

Yes, I do a limited number of commissions for art larger than 12”x12”. Please note that I only accept landscape commissions consistent with the style of my current work.

What is the commission process?

  • Step 1: Inquiry

Fill out the commission survey. After this point, we can discuss vision and desired work. I reserve the creative license to make modifications and allow for my creative interpretation. My goal is customer satisfaction, and I will work with you to bring ideas to life in a stunning way.

  • Step 2: Payment

25% deposit of the final cost is due at the time of ordering the artwork.

  • Step 3: Painting

I will try to send one or two updates as the painting process is underway.

  • Step 4: Photo for approval

Prior to finalizing the painting, I will send photos to you for approval. Let me know if you have desired alterations and we can work to ensure we are both happy with the commissioned result.

  • Step 5: Receiving the artwork

Your commission will be mailed to you (shipping charges apply) or will be available for local pickup.

What if I do not like the painting?

Collectors are able to choose not to purchase the final commission, however, the 25% payment is non-refundable. In the unlikely event that the artist cancels the commission, payment will be refunded.

Can I make copies of the artwork?

Christine Michelle Art reserves reproduction rights to commissioned artwork unless otherwise negotiated.
